BIG BEND LOUNGE by CAST + CREW

We recently designed our first chair that we had fabricated exclusively for Cast + Crew. It is a take on the common Mid-Century Modern Hoop Chair. We named our version the "Big Bend Lounge by Cast + Crew," hints its bent tubular hoop and of course after this region in which we love so much. The expanded metal mesh seat allows its surroundings to visually pass through creating a light, airy and minimal design that does not obstruct.

The most important detail about this specific chair is that we are going to donate a percentage of the proceeds of every Hoop Chair sale to the Marfa International School and also a percentage to the Marfa Montessori. We've been wanting to find a way to give back to the community the past few months and when we starting working on the Hoop Chairs, we thought they would be a great way for us to do so. Marfa means so much to us. It's hard to explain how much happier we have been since we moved here and how beautiful and inspiring the community is in Marfa. Aside from being able to grow our business, Marfa has really touched our personal lives and for that we would really like to give back to the community. If you have visited Marfa, you know how magical of a place it can be. If you feel compelled to reach out or to give to the community of Marfa, this is a great way to do so. PAPER PLANE, METAL PLANE

Cast + Crew recently collaborated with artist Tony Greer, a fellow Lubbock-ite who specializes in neon art and metal fab, to create these amazing paper airplane sculptures. While visiting Tony a few weeks ago, we fell in awe by these little guys lying around his shop. We immediately knew that by adding some of our signature colors, these pieces of art would be a desirable conversational piece in any home, office, studio or gallery. We love everything about them. Minimal, bright, quirky, geometric masterpieces.

You can see some of Tony's work here and can visit him in Lubbock, TX next door to the Tornado Gallery. Tony's outstanding neon work is present all over the country including right here in Marfa, TX.

Paper Plane Sculptures can be purchased via our online SHOP or from our Marfa,TX storefront.
